Black Hair soloists present an international sequence of studies in music theatre. This is music for the eye, theatre for the ear. Studies for voice and percussion by Georges Aperghis, Takashi Fujii's Dancing Bones which turns the trombonist into a tap dancing one man band. Roger Marsh's A Little Snow performed by the composer in English and Italian, and the Italian premiere of tROMbONE by Marco Visconti Prasca.
September 2006 : Rotherham, Loosen your Talktapes
Members of Black Hair collaborated over two weekends with the Rotherham based theatre group Open Minds Theatre. Damien Harron, Anna Myatt, Charlotte Bishop and Roger Marsh worked with Steve Rogers (director of Open Minds) and three other actors, to devise a music theatre piece entitled 'Loosen your Talktapes'. The performance at the Rotherham Arts Centre incorporated workshop material created on the day with local participants. The project, which was funded by Audiences Yorkshire, Stage Exchange, culminated in a performance on the final day of the Rotherham Arts Festival.
